Four-star planning USC visit

Melquise Stovall put up tremendous numbers in his sophomore and junior years and so far this spring he has been excellent in the camp and 7on7 circuit.
Top programs are starting to take more notice.

The Lancaster (Calif.) Paraclete four-star running back said USC has stepped up its interest recently and he's excited about heading down to campus this weekend.
Stovall, rated as the No. 12 running back and the No. 220 prospect by Rivals.com, is not sure an offer is coming but he's hopeful because he grew up watching the Trojans.
"They've been very interested," Stovall said.
"I've been talking to coach (Marques Tuiasosopo) down there and he wants to get me to meet the running backs coach and to start building a relationship with him. It sounds like it's coming along and I go down there Saturday."
An offer from USC could change up the status of his recruitment but Stovall is not rushing any decision because things are just getting busy in his recruitment.
"That would be definitely huge," Stovall said. "That was my childhood school right there so an offer would be really big."
Miami and Washington had emerged as frontrunners but the Lancaster Paraclete standout who looked good at the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour in Las Vegas two weekends ago said every school is equal at this point.
Stovall lists offers from Boise State, Cal, Colorado, Miami, Nevada, San Diego State, Washington and Washington State so far.
"I'm still evaluating everybody," Stovall said. "I like everyone and they're all really good schools."
The four-star rushed for 1,603 yards and 20 touchdowns on 198 carries this past season.
