Four-Star Pickup For BC

Warwick (R.I.) Bishop Hendricksen running back Will Blackmon surprised everyone.
"I committed to Boston College today," said the 6-foot, 185-pound running back. "Coach Swepson came around today for a visit and I just felt the time was right."

Blackmon, who visited BC and Wisconsin officially, felt it was time to end the process.
"I don't need anymore visits," he said. "I was thinking about taking a trip to Michigan State or maybe Notre Dame, but I feel more comfortable at BC than anywhere else. I've known it for a long time."
Blackmon is considered one of the top 10 running backs in the country and doesn't care where he plays at BC.
"They can play me at cornerback, wideout or running back," he said. "I just want to contribute."
Blackmon said he might take # 1 if Will Green decides to leave. He also might be a big factor in the decision of New York running back Damien Rhodes. The two have become very good friends.
"We said we wanted to go to the same school so we'll see."
