Four-star parts ways with LSU, is likely to consider Alabama, FSU

Nadab Joseph’s leisurely stroll toward a broken commitment has reached its conclusion.

Despite a longstanding commitment to LSU, the four-star defensive back has spent months fielding other schools' pitches, making numerous campus visits and investigating his opportunities. It’s why some suspected the decommitment that took place on Thursday afternoon was inevitability.

With a single tweet, Joseph became a recruiting free agent of sorts. When asked which schools he will now consider, the highly-rated DB responded with a to-the-point text.

"UGA, FSU, BAMA, LSU and OU," Joseph wrote. "I just feel like I can have those same opportunities that I can have at LSU at those places. I'm comfortable with those staffs."

Joseph, who recently transferred to Miami Norland High School from Hialeah Champagnat Catholic, is being recruited as both a safety and corner but would prefer to remain at corner in college.

RIVALS REACTION: Joseph has been high on Alabama, Florida State and Georgia among others, but those three schools figure to be the major players in his recruitment going forward. The Rivals250 prospect has long been flirting with the Seminoles and has attended a number of events at the school, but buzz of possible his decommitment from LSU grew louder after a recent trip to Alabama. The Tide and Seminoles hold an edge over Georgia, which will most likely also crank up the heat on the Miami product. As of now, Nick Saban and company have to be seen as the slight favorite.
