Four-star Palmetto OL narrowing field

Four-star Greenville (S.C.) offensive tackle Corey Lambert has wrapped up a tremendous senior season and is in the process of scheduling his official visits, according to coach Larry Frost.
“Corey just had an outstanding season,” Frost said. “We went 12-1, made a good run at the state championship, had a 3,000-yard passer and a 2,000-yard runner. Corey was a big part of that. He graded out at around 91 percent for the season. He just dominated.”

Lambert (6-7, 310, 5.0) is rated the No. 12 offensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com. He’s drawn dozens of scholarship offers from top programs across the nation, but is starting to narrow the field a bit.
“He’s meeting with Dave Roberts from South Carolina right now as we speak,” Frost said. “He came to school today and had an in-home visit with Corey recently. We’ve also had Florida State, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee and Clemson in the school during the last week.
“I’m not really sure yet about his visits, the exact dates, but in talking with him he says he’d like to visit Florida State. I know he told Kevin Steele that this past week. I think he also wants to visit South Carolina, Clemson and possibly Tennessee.”
Is there a leader in that bunch?
“He really doesn’t talk about a favorite very much, and I try not to get involved unless he has something specific to ask me,” Frost said, “but I get the impression he’d like to stay as close to home as possible.”
Lambert, who boasts a 405 bench press, 550 squat and 26-inch vertical, has been selected to play in the Shrine Bowl on Dec. 20. The game pits the senior all-stars from South Carolina against their counterparts from North Carolina.
