Four-star OT hearing from the Trojans

If Southern California had targeted offensive line as a priority for its 2008 recruiting class, it is pretty safe to say the Trojans have done a good job filling that need. To date, USC has commitments from five offensive linemen. None of those commits have lower than a four-star ranking, and two (Matt Kalil and Tyron Smith) are Rivals.com five-stars.
It looks as if the Trojans still are not satisfied.

Anniston (Ala.) offensive tackle Antoine McClain is now in USC's sights. The 6-foot-6 317-pound lineman has had a busy schedule this fall traveling seeing games around the southeast. Now he may have a trip out west in the cards.
"We talk every now and then," McClain said of his contact with the USC staff. "They started calling like a month and a half back. It was a shock. I'm just gonna go out there and see how it is."
With a busy schedule of all-star games to work around, McClain is still negotiating his official visit lineup.
"I'm gonna set it up after football season," he said. "I gotta play in the Mississippi-Alabama all-star game and the Under Armour all-star game so it's going to be tough to get visits in during December. I'll probably get one visit in December, three in January and then one in February the weekend before signing day."
While the dates haven't been set, McClain is beginning to get an idea of where he wants to visit, and the late-charging Trojans look to have made the cut.
"I'll probably go visit Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Southern Cal and then probably either Tennessee or Clemson," he said.
McClain has had a busy fall of unofficial visits as well. With several trips already behind him, the four-star still has more plans.
"I gotta go to the Tennessee-Alabama game, then LSU plays Alabama," he said. "I gotta go to the Iron Bowl and I'm going to Clemson on Nov. 10 for the Wake Forest game."
McClain is rated by Rivals.com as the No. 14 offensive tackle in the country.
