Four-star OL has a new No. 1

The battle to land Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College four-star offensive guard Brandon Walker has definitely been a seesaw battle. After leaning heavily toward Michigan State for the past few weeks, another team took its turn moving up to the No. 1 spot on Walker's list.
"I would probably say Oklahoma is on the top," Walker, who is 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, said. "They've been showing me a lot of love with the recruiting thing. The coaches are nice, they have cool players and I like the environment."

Walker said he visited with OU offensive line coach Kevin Wilson on Monday, and the visit left a good impression again for the Sooners.
"He was also up here the week before we left for the bowl game," Walker said. "He said he just wanted to check in on me. That makes me feel good. He is pushing me really hard, and I like that."
Walker, the No. 10 juco player in the nation, is slated to now visit Illinois this weekend and Arizona State on December 16. Oklahoma State is on the schedule for January 6 and then Michigan State, his former leader, will get the final visit on January 13.
Walker did have good things to say about his upcoming visit to Illinois.
"They're in the Big 10 Conference, and they're struggling a little bit to get back up there," Walker said. "Coach Reggie Mitchell is recruiting me. He used to recruit me back in high school when he was at Michigan State."
Walker still has a long way to go before he makes a decision, he said, so it could be an interesting battle to see what team ends up on top of the seesaw in the end.
