Four-star OL commits to Kentucky

The Bluegrass State’s top-rated lineman has made his college decision.
Four-star Mayfield (Ky.) offensive tackle Micah Jones gave his verbal commitment to Kentucky late Friday night, according to his mother.

“Micah’s a Wildcat,” said Valerie Jones. “He’s really thrilled and excited right now. We all are. I think it was the right decision for him.
“Being from the state of Kentucky, he loves UK. He loves the players and coaches there, and he felt like he could really help them. They really made him feel needed there."
Jones (6-5, 336, 5.15) is the nation’s 16th rated offensive tackle. He picked the Cats over Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn and Michigan, among offers from dozens of other programs.
"It was a hard decision for him," Valerie Jones said. "He really liked all those SEC schools. But he felt like he knew in his heart that Kentucky was the place for him."
