PHOENIX - Jordan Diamond has a lengthy list of frontrunners but no favorite and the four-star offensive tackle from Chicago Simeon said he's nowhere near making his commitment.
Wisconsin, Auburn, Arkansas, Michigan and Ohio State look the best in his recruitment but Diamond said Miami, Iowa and Michigan State haven't been eliminated.
As some prospects prepare to announce their commitments this week at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl it seems Diamond is just scratching the surface on his recruitment.
"Right now I really don't know," said Diamond, who is now 6-foot-6 and 330 pounds.
"There have been some coaching changes in some spots. Wisconsin made some changes. There have been some other changes down at Auburn so I really have to be patient right now.
"Arkansas has been stable, Michigan is pretty stable right now and Ohio State just got their new staff so I'm looking at them. You can add Miami, Iowa and Michigan State on that list, too. I'm waiting because I have no idea where I'm going right now. I'm just going to wait it out."
Rated as the No. 35 offensive tackle in the 2012 class and sixth in the Illinois state rankings by Rivals.com, Diamond said he doesn't know when he's going to make his decision. By the looks of it, the Simeon standout is nowhere near ready.
"Whenever the time is right is when I'm going to make my decision," Diamond said. "Right now the time isn't right because I don't really know what's going on.
"There hasn't been any pressure. It's about building the relationships with the coaches. The hardest thing is to get to know the coaches recruiting you. They're coming after me and I'm looking at them also so that's how it is."
Official visits to Arkansas and Wisconsin are expected next month for Diamond, who visited Auburn and Ohio State in December.
