AGOURA HILLS, Calif. – Nikko Hall sat out the season opener as he rehabilitates a shoulder injury but the four-star for Calabasas, Calif., should be back soon.

As far as his recruitment goes, Hall is starting to focus on taking some official visits.

“For my officials I have Oregon State,” Hall said after Calabasas beat Los Angeles Dorsey on Thursday night. “I’m trying to set up an official for Arizona State, Illinois and most likely Louisville.

“I’m focused on every school. It’s just right now those are the schools that have talked to me most about taking officials.”

The four-star receiver who could also play defensive back does not have any dates finalized other than his trip to Oregon State. Hall plans to be in Corvallis when Colorado visits the weekend of Oct. 14.

The Beavers have been coming hard after Hall and the four-star has definitely taken notice.

“They’ve been recruiting me hard, heavily,” Hall said. “Coach (Cory) Hall talks to me almost every day. He talks to me how I fit in their program, how the scheme would work.”

The Calabasas standout had seriously considered an early commitment – at times this offseason he thought about making a decision – but after talking it over the four-star has decided to take his trips and take his time.

Now a pledge is not expected until after Hall’s senior season.

“I was thinking about committing early but then after talking to my dad I’m going to take my time and just wait until signing day,” Hall said.

Arizona State should also be watched closely. The Sun Devils have already landed four-star linebacker Reggie Hughes from Calabasas and Hughes said he's recruiting Hall to Tempe.
