Four-star Nikko Hall back from ASU visit, more planned

Nikko Hall considered an early commitment but the four-star receiver decided instead to take his time, take visits and make a decision later on.

The Calabasas, Calif., standout was at Arizona State this past weekend and had an excellent experience seeing everything the Sun Devils have to offer.

“The No. 1 thing that stood out was that atmosphere and how passionate the fans are about their football,” Hall said.

“I was impressed by the brotherhood ASU football players have with each other.”

The trip was important for Hall to see the atmosphere at Arizona State and to also have more time with the coaching staff to see how he’d fit in the offense.

According to Hall, he liked what he heard.

“I spent most of my time with coach (Billy) Napier and coach (Rob) Likens,” Hall said. “They both told me they like my game and they want to see me live.”

The Sun Devils defeated Colorado, 41-30, and while Arizona State gained most of its yards on the ground, the four-star receiver still liked what he saw from the offense.

“I paid more attention to the offense because that’s what ASU is recruiting me for,” Hall said. “The offense looked good. They’re in need of some playmakers and I think that’s where I come in. I feel like I'm a playmaker.”

As for other visits, the Calabasas standout said he’s planning to see Oregon State and possibly Arizona State again soon. Trips to Purdue and USC are expected after the season.
