Michael Ezeike had an excellent visit to Utah last weekend. It was a sign to the Ontario (Calif.) Colony standout receiver as his recruitment continues.

Literally, a sign.

“Utah was a really cool experience,” Ezeike said. “I got a chance to talk to all the coaches and experience the atmosphere on game day. I really love the weather out there and everything about the campus and education.

“One of the coolest things happened to me while at the game. During one of the fan cams I saw a fan with a poster of me that said ‘Megatron, the next Kenneth Scott.' So that was pretty cool.”

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound four-star prospect is being recruited as a wide receiver by many schools and as a tight end by others so Ezeike wanted more clarification on that topic during his weekend visit.

Utah’s coaches laid it out perfectly and the Ontario Colony recruit really liked what message he received about being utilized in the offense.

“Coach (Guy) Holliday, the wide receivers coach, said he sees me as a mismatch receiver so basically an outside and an inside receiver not really like a tight end but a slot,” Ezeike said.

As for other visits, Ezeike has already been to Arizona State and he had an excellent trip to Tempe.

Texas A&M could also receive a visit soon and the four-star receiver is targeting a trip to Michigan when Ohio State comes to Ann Arbor. UCLA, Oregon and others remain very much in contention.
