Four-star New Orleans prospect

Daryl Johnson says he's decided
to scrap his top five lists and view his recruiting process from a different
standpoint.
"I don't have a top five or a No. 1 anymore," said
the O.P. Walker safety, a member of the Rivals.com
Southeast Top 100 team and the
Louisiana
Top 30.
Miami had been the previous favorite for Johnson
(6-1, 195, 4.49). He made sure to note that he still likes the Hurricanes a
lot, but chalked up his new approach to the other programs doing a good job
pursuing him.
"LSU has closed the gap a little bit," he said. "I
like their program and the coaches they have now. They've done a good job.
I'll be going there this weekend for their game (against
Louisiana-Lafayette)."
He's also had calls from Tennessee and Florida in
the last week. His primary offers are from Miami, LSU, Florida, Clemson,
Georgia Tech and Tulane.
"I've been to a couple of Tulane games and I'll be
going to this one at LSU," Johnson said. "After that, I think I'll be
visiting Colorado and Florida. I haven't decided when. That's all I'm
thinking about setting up for now. I've been to Miami before and LSU several
times, so I know a lot about those places.
"After I make my visits, I'll start making my list again."
Four games into his senior season, Johnson has
recorded 27 tackles and three interceptions. His career interception total
now stands at 23. He's scored three touchdowns, two receiving and one via an
interception return.
