Gibson is planning to take four visits before he selects a college.
"After I visit Ohio State I have Penn State," he said. "That will probably be it."
The Buckeyes are positioned well, especially considering Gibson has not yet made his official visit.
"Ohio State and Tennessee are my two favorites," he said. "But Michigan is not out of it at all.
"Coach Fulmer came in about a month ago. Michigan and Ohio State want me to let them know when a good time is (for Lloyd Carr and Jim Tressel) to come in."
The 6-foot-3 and 205-pound Gibson had 14 sacks during his senior season. He is the No. 9 outside linebacker in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 6 prospect in the state of Ohio.
