Four-Star LB Trying To Stay Open
Chesapeake (Va.) Western Branch linebacker Vince Hall could have been the loudest and most excited recruit on hand for Virginia Tech's win over LSU. So how did the game affect his recruiting list?
"It can't help but move Tech up," said the 6-foot-1, 230-pounder. "The game, the atmosphere, everything about that place was crazy. I really had a good time."

So is he ready to list Virginia Tech as his leader?
"Not yet," he said with a laugh. "I figure if I liked it there that much, I need to see some other places to see how it compares. Tech moved up, but not ahead of everyone just yet."
Hall is also considering Tennessee, North Carolina, Penn State, Syracuse and Clemson and will begin setting his official visits soon.
"The only school I spoke to this week was Virginia because I missed so many calls," he said. "I spoke to Coach (Al) Groh and he tried to convince me to look at Virginia some more and what an opportunity I would be missing. I liked his direct approach, but I'm not considering Virginia."
Hall said that Virginia Tech will certainly be one of his official visit destinations and Tennessee will be another. He hopes to set his trips this month and take most of them after the season. His team faces Bethel High School this weekend and defensive end Chris Ellis.
