Four-Star LB Takes Unofficial Trip

Hackensack, N.J. linebacker Jermaine Dias took an unofficial visit to one of his favorite schools this weekend.
"I went down to Virginia with my parents," said the 6-foot-2, 215-pounder who plays defensive end in high school. "It was a good game because I got to see Virginia and North Carolina play and they're two of my top four. Virginia showed me a lot by coming back and winning that game."

Dias is looking for a school where he can play early but won't let that be the only factor that determines his choice.
"I think I could play earlier at Boston College and North Carolina from what I can see," he said. "But playing in that Virginia defense as a linebacker looks fun and Maryland is also looking pretty good on defense after their win on Thursday night. It's not going to be easy."
Dias said he scheduled his official visit with Virginia for Jan. 17 and just needs to figure out when he'll trip to North Carolina (probably Jan. 10). He already has Boston College (Dec. 6) and Maryland (Dec. 13) scheduled.
"My official visits will be big," he said. "Getting to know the players and coaches better will be important. Like I said, I'd prefer to play early if I can but there will also be other factors."
