Four-star LB starts to consider officials

Four-star linebacker Dan Mason is back in pads. The Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills prospect joined his team in camp on Monday. While football is his focus right now, the 6-foot-0, 220-pounder is starting to consider officials.
"Everything is going really well," he said. "I'm in camp now and we're looking prett good. We've got a lot of players coming back. As the weeks go on we'll be getting better and better.

"I just want to improve on my leadership and my ability to play and be more patient. I want to let the play develop."
Mason and Penn Hills open the season on August 29th.
On the recruiting front, the No. 16 inside linebacker in the country continues to hold five offers from Boston College, Penn State, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Toledo.
"No one else is really talking about offering. Hopefully I can get some more once the season starts," he stated. "I'm going to start looking into officials once the school year starts.
"I may have to wait until October to start taking them though. More than likely I will take all five officials."
Mason maintains there are no leaders.
"I like all of my offers because they are interested in me."
