It's been a busy weekend for four-star Jackson (Tenn.)
Rivals100 team member took an
official visit to Ole Miss on Friday and Saturday, then returned home to play
host to Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis on Sunday.
"It's been a crazy weekend," said Brooks, the No. 4
inside linebacker in the nation. "I had what turned out to be a real nice trip
down to Ole Miss. They were probably third behind Alabama and Tennessee before
my visit, but it's a little closer now.
"Eric Oliver was my host. We had a great time going out
to eat and taking in a couple of parties. I saw a whole lot of pretty women. On
Saturday, I did some stuff with Cody Ridgeway. He's from my high school, so we
had a bunch of fun going out."
Brooks (6-3, 230, 4.56) had an in-home visit from Chavis
"The coach who was recruiting me at UT, Mike Barry,
resigned on Friday," he said. "So coach Chavis is on me pretty hard right now.
He just left here a few minutes ago. We had a real good discussion."
Brooks visited Tennessee on Dec. 13. He'll make his
third trip next weekend to Alabama.
"It's still open for me," he said. "I probably won't
make a decision after my Alabama trip. I'll probably think about things for a
while and maybe announce on signing day."
