Four-star LB makes college choice

Four-star linebacker Mark Johnson (6-4, 230, 4.6) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey is one of the best players in southern California. The talented linebacker just returned from his visit to Ohio State.
"I committed to Ohio State," Johnson said. "I actually committed to them two days before Christmas. I wanted to keep it quiet because I wasn't ready to tell anybody yet."

"I chose Ohio State because they put out great linebackers," Johnson said. "You get great coaching and it seems like a good place for me."
"The Buckeyes lose all their linebackers to graduation," Johnson said. "So there is a good opportunity for me there."
"The visit to Ohio State was great," Johnson said. "The coaches were great, the players were great everything about it was great."
"The campus is unbelievable," Johnson said. "I've never seen anything like it."
For his senior season, Johnson accounted for 120 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles. All of that production was done in nine games.
Johnson chose Ohio State over offers from LSU, Cal, Oregon, ASU, Washington, Fresno State and a host of others.
The Buckeyes get a player who is a member of the Rivals.com Rivals250 team for the class of 2006. He's ranked as the nation's No. 5 middle linebacker prospect for the class of 2006.
Johnson is also a member the Rivals.com preseason California Top 100 and is ranked as the Golden State's No. 16 prospect at any position.
