Four-star LB Jones taking his time

Keandre Jones is one of the most intriguing prospects in the Mid-Atlantic. The 2016 linebacker from Olney (Md.) Good Counsel has offers from Maryland, Penn State, Virginia, West Virginia and others but he is really looking to build off of last season's progress to jump start his recruitment.
"I'm just focusing on the season right now," said the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Jones. "I'm ready for our game."

The last visit Jones went on was to Penn State and a few things really stood out to him about the Nittany Lions.
"The coaching staff really struck me," he said. "They have a lot of energy and a lot of the guys feel like family up there."
Jones said he is hoping to visit Penn State, Maryland and a few others during the year.
"I'd like to get back up to Penn State a couple times," Jones said. "Maybe for the Ohio State game and Michigan game."
Playing for Good Counsel, Jones has former teammates playing at a number of different schools including Virginia Tech, Clemson, Kentucky and many more. Naturally, many of those schools have shown interest in Jones but he is taking things slowly.
"As the year goes I'm going to start looking into other schools," he said. "I definitely want to keep my options open for my senior year."
Last season Jones make 34 tackles, six for a loss, two sacks, and knocked down one pass.
