Four-star LB going through tough time

Independence (Kan.) Community College linebacker Le-Undo Adams has had a family problem derail his recruiting process a little bit.
"Le-Undo's little brother passed away a couple weeks ago," Independence coach Kent Keith said. "He was hit in the head with a gunshot during the summer and has been in a coma ever since then and passed away recently. It's been real tough on Le-Undo."

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Adams left school at the time of the death and has just returned.
"He missed a couple of weeks of classwork. His mother didn't even want him to come back. She didn't want him to leave. He came back and is behind quite a bit in his academic work. Some of our teachers are understanding to the situation and are willing to cooperate with him, while some others aren't as understanding."
The classwork could cost him a shot at his first choice of schools.
"Le-Undo wants to go to Kansas," Keith said. "But he'll probably have a couple of grades that are a problem and could cause him some trouble getting into school there. They are working with the admissions people there to see what kinds of things they need to have him do to make it in."
While Kansas could be a difficult place to get into for Adams, Southern Mississippi and Arkansas State have told Adams, the No. 19 rated non-high school player, that he'll have no trouble at their schools.
"He's visiting Southern Miss and Arkansas Stae on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13. They both have told him they'll have no troubles getting him into school. So that will be a factor for him to consider when making his decision."
Adams is a December graduate and will sign on Dec. 18.
