Four-star juco OL reverses field

Less than 15 days ago, Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College four-star junior college offensive guard Paul Soliai said he was looking hard at Utah, Florida, Kansas State, Kansas, Oklahoma State and UCLA, despite being placed by the Utes.
Guess things have changed now.

“I’m pretty sure I’m going to Utah,” Soliai, who is 6-foot-4 and 335 pounds, said. “I was hoping to look around and not make a rushed decision, but my coaches won’t let me look around. So I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up back at Utah. In fact, I know that’s where I’m going to end up at.”
Soliai will take an official visit to Utah this weekend.
While things are positive on the recruiting front, things didn’t end up so positive on the field this season. Soliai’s teammates made it all the way to the Jayhawk Conference championship game against Butler County.
Coffeyville jumped out to a huge lead, but it wasn’t enough as Butler County came roaring back to claim the championship and a spot in the national title game.
“I don’t know what to say,” Soliai said. “I thought we had it. I guess they’re just a better second half team. We just stopped moving the ball. They brought too men into the box and we couldn’t block them all. The backs had chances to make plays, but they just couldn’t beat them.”
