Four-star Jersey receiver has new offers

Wayne (N.J.) De Paul Catholic wide receiver Shakim Phillips is sitting in a pretty enviable position these days.
The 6-foot-2, 191-pound prospect is ranked the No. 5 wide receiver and the No. 33 overall prospect on the Rivals100 for the Class of 2010.

He has had an impressive offer list for quite some time, and it's a list that recently grew with four new schools jumping into the mix.
"North Carolina offered me. South Florida and Virginia, too," Phillips said. "Those were the last three, I think. Oh, and Cincinnati. They offered, too.
"I like all of them. Honestly I haven't really started looking into everything, still. I'm gonna start that probably in June. This month coming up is when I'm gonna start looking at colleges."
What does that entail? According to Phillips it means he will be taking some visits. He's just not sure of where he will be going yet.
"I'm gonna do that (take visits) but I'm not sure where yet. I do know I'm going to some, though.
"I'm gonna go to a lot of them, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna do all the camps. I'll be there just to see the schools, probably."
Phillips said he does not have a timeframe for his decision, nor does he have a list of favorites. He said the most likely scenario is that he will narrow his list to five and take his official visits.
He has been in contact with lots of coaches from different colleges lately.
