Four-star impressed by Washington

Joey Alfieri had a strong performance at the recent Rivals Camp in Phoenix and his recruitment continues to stay busy.
The Portland (Ore.) Jesuit outside linebacker now has offers from Washington, Washington State, Oregon State, Arizona State, Boston College, Harvard and Yale and there has been a serious uptick in interest as well.

"It's been pretty consistent from all the schools," Alfieri said.
"Most of the Pac-12 schools are talking to me except for USC and Vanderbilt has been talking to me a little bit. Georgia Tech has been talking to me on Facebook. I'm going to Stanford's camp and junior day in June and I hope they bring some good news."
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound four-star prospect has only taken junior day trips to Washington and Cal, so it's still early and many other trips are expected, but the Huskies have definitely made an impression on the Portland Jesuit standout.
"It's still really early but I was really impressed with Washington when I went to their junior day and I'm still trying to get down to Corvallis to see Oregon State pretty soon," Alfieri said. "Hopefully I'll be impressed with that, too.
"A lot of things about Washington stood out. It was academics especially. I had no idea they had the No. 1 medical school in the nation and medicine is something I might want to pursue in the future. I really liked the campus and all the dorms are nice.
"The coaching staff was also really good. They were all energetic and were happy to be there and seemed to be really good coaches."
It's far too soon for Alfieri to make any decisions though.
A lot of trips this summer could change things as the four-star plans to attend Oregon's camp and there are also plans being worked out to make a trip to UCLA and possibly USC as well.
