Four-star high on Bruins

It is no secret that UCLA is one of the early favorites for Bryce Dixon and that belief was only solidified after the Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure tight end visited there this past weekend.
The Bruins' coaches let it be known they want him in this recruiting class and Dixon said he's seriously considering it.

No commitment yet but UCLA is in good shape with the 6-foot-4, 230-pound four-star recruit.
"UCLA was nice," Dixon said. "It was tight. Everything was cool. They're building a new weight room for the football team so that was really good.
"It was a little bit of both. They want to get to know me better and they were pushing a little bit for a commitment. I'm very interested in UCLA. That's one of my top schools right now."
So far, Dixon has received offers from UCLA, Arizona, Cal, Colorado, Miami, Ohio State, Vanderbilt and Washington.
There is serious new interest from the SEC, too, and Dixon said he could be close to another offer.
The Ventura St. Bonaventure standout said he's been talking a lot more with Florida and an offer could be on the way. Dixon is also hearing more from Michigan.
"They were just talking and keeping in touch with me," Dixon said of Florida. "I talked to coach (Brian) White from Florida and he said they were going to offer me a scholarship. That was a couple weeks ago but I didn't have my phone for a while.
"I'm not sure if they offered me. I didn't want to ask them but he did say they wanted to offer me a scholarship and they wanted to keep in touch."
