Four-star has three on top

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami (Fla.) Miami Palmetto athlete Delvin Jones is one of the most unique prospects in the country. At 6-foot-6, 230 pounds, Jones is an imposing figure and could excel all over the field at the next level. His athleticism and versatility has got several big-name programs after him but at this point, Jones only has three schools on his mind.
After competing in the Miami Nike Camp and showing off his skills as a massive wide receiver, Jones spoke about focusing in his recruitment on his top three schools.

"My top three is Florida, USC and Oregon," Jones said. "I sat down with my coaches and we talked about it and those are the three that are best for me education-wise and athletic-wise."
Due to his physical assets, several major programs see Jones as a dominant defensive end at the next level. However, Jones sees himself as a wide receiver or a tight end. Not coincidentally, so do his top three.
"All three of them want me to play tight end and receiver," he said. "That's what I want to play because it's a mismatch all day."
As Jones considers making a final decision on colleges, he has some unofficial visits planned to help him in the process.
"I'm going to Florida next week," he said. "I'm going to be going to the other two in the summer. I'm going to USC and Oregon in the summer."
Despite the distance that Jones would have to overcome in heading out west, he insists that that is a non-factor. USC in particular offers a lot for Jones to be excited about.
"It's USC and that's all you need to say," he said. "They had Mike Williams, Reggie Bush, Carson Palmer, the list just goes on and on."
Though he knows what position he wants to play in college, Jones also knows that he will be playing all kinds of positions in high school and he is ready for it.
"I'm playing everything," he said. "I'm playing offense, defense, even special teams. I love it."
