Skyler Thornton says he's close to scheduling his final two
official visits.
"Right now, it's looking like Georgia Tech and maybe
Clemson," he said. "I'm pretty sure about Georgia Tech. Them and Florida
have been really recruiting me the hardest lately."
Thornton, a member of the Rivals.com
Southeast
Top 100 team and the No. 16 running back in the nation, had
an in-home visit from the Gators' Mike Woodford on Tuesday night and was
expecting Mike Markuson of Arkansas to be there Wednesday night.
"I had a good discussion with Florida's coach," he
said. "They really seem to like me a lot for the kind of offense they run."
His three scheduled official visits are Florida
(1/10), Arkansas (1/17) and South Carolina (1/24).
"I don't have a favorite," he said. "They all look
pretty good right now. I'll know more when I make my visits."
Thornton (6-0, 195, 4.45) finished his senior season
with 1,591 yards, averaging 8 yards per carry, and scored 34 touchdowns. He
rushed for 30 scores and caught four touchdown passes in leading LaGrange to a 12-1 record.
