Four-star Georgia commit Aaron Brule not signing early

Most college programs are expecting their current commits to sign when the early signing period opens Dec. 20-22, but at least one of Georgia's commits has delayed his plans. Class of 2018 four-star Metairie (La.) Rummel linebacker Aaron Brule announced on Twitter Wednesday that he will be waiting until February to make things official with the Dawgs.

"I will be postponing my signing until February 7," Brule tweeted." I’ve got some things I need to look into."

The news comes on the heels of an in-home visit from TCU on Tuesday night and might be the first sign that Brule could end up somewhere else besides Athens.

Brule's close friend and high school teammate Ja'Marr Chase is also heavily considering the Horned Frogs and the two have often talked about potentially playing together at the next level. Plans for Chase to officially visit Athens have not materialized, even though he said he planned on making a visit following his de-commitment from Florida during the fall.

Brule hasn't visited TCU officially, but it's possible he could join Chase on this weekend's visit or make a trip to Fort Worth in January. It remains to be scene if Georgia will stick with Brule if he doesn't sign next week and could be possible that the school moves on to other options.
