Four-star Florida commit has official visit destinations in mind

Daquon Green’s Florida commitment remains intact. In fact, by 2016 standards, it’s relatively strong. That’s not to say his recruitment is closed, however. “Strong” is relative term in modern recruiting. Green’s decision to take one final look around is simply the status quo.

The Tampa Bay (Fla.) Tech wide receiver has official visits on tap. In fact, destinations are already being set.

“I’m not going to take an official to Florida, because I can drive there,” Green said. “I’m going to take Ole Miss, North Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan and probably Ohio State. I need to talk to Ohio State and see, though, because I haven’t talked to them for while.”

But one potential trip has Green more excited than the rest. He says North Carolina is the school that gives him the most pause over his commitment to the Gators. The reasons behind that, it seems, are many.

“What is it about North Carolina? It’s everything about North Carolina. I’m ready to get back up there. The whole coaching staff is real friendly and everything is real nice. I get along with everyone up there.”

IN HIS WORDS: “I’m still sticking with Florida,” Green said. “When I talk to them, they just still congratulate me for being part of the class and the team.”

RIVALS REACTION: Green legitimately likes North Carolina and has interest in the other schools on his visit list. Still, he seems likely to stick with the Gators unless the program regresses this fall.
