Four-star DT thinking about D-II route

Columbus (Ga.) Pacelli defensive tackle Cliff Dunahm is keeping his options open in his search for early playing time and if that search takes him to the Division II level, he might not mind.

“I’m still big on Georgia and Alabama, but I’m kind of also looking at some D-II schools,” Dunham, who is 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds, said. “I’m looking at places like Georgia Southern and Eastern Kentucky because I’m not quite sure how this is going to work out with the other schools and I want to start quickly.”
Dunham, who has a low grade-point average and scored below a qualifying score on the SAT, said he is still set to visit Alabama on January 24 and is also getting interest from Florida State, Georgia, Maryland and South Carolina. He claims offers from Alabama, Maryland and South Carolina, along with offers from the two D-II schools he had on his list.
“I’m just trying to sort things out,” he said.
Dunham, who is ranked as the No. 18 defensive tackle in the nation, got injured in the first round of the Georgia state playoffs but he said he is back and almost back at full strength. But it’s all for naught since his team fell in that game without him.
