Four-star DT seeking the truth

Jeffrey Whitaker is one of the top uncommitted prospects still left on the board in the Peach State. Whitaker, 6-3 and 294 pounds, is a four-star recruit for Warner Robins High School. They are off to a 1-1 start after losing to Grayson this past Friday night 10-0.
"We are doing pretty good," Whitaker said. "That game was like who ever scores first would win. They did so they won.

"I think I am playing real well. I don't pay attention to the stat book. But I know I have lost 35 pounds and I am playing a lot quicker and with more speed. I am moving better and playing with better technique. I am getting to the football."
Whitaker is still open and looking at quite a few schools. He hopes to narrow things down soon as he begins to see some more schools.
"I haven't set up visits yet and I will take the ACT on Saturday. I have been studying for that. I might go somewhere the following weekend. I want to check out Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, and Cal. I also like Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Auburn. I want to go see games near by. Those are the schools for right now.
"I am still open with the recruiting process. Things that important are just an opportunity (scholarship offer) and a chance to play early. I don't want these coaches to sugar coating anything. Please tell me straight up and be real with me. I don't want the sales pitch. I want to truth. Most of the coaches have been straight forward the way I like it."
Warner Robins plays Savannah Beach High School on Friday.
