Four-star DT down to three schools

With a little over two weeks remaining before National Signing Day, some players are feeling the scholarship number crunch. One of these is four-star defensive tackle Darian Cooper of Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha, who now is down to three schools as he prepares for his final visit next weekend.
Cooper was originally set to visit Penn State this weekend, but because of a lack of scholarships, that visit was cancelled.

"They filled up on scholarships," said Cooper. "I never went."
Cooper has already taken official visits to Michigan State and Georgia Tech, and will take his third and probable last visit next weekend to Iowa.
"It's an important trip like all the others," said Cooper. "I'm wondering about the lifestyle out there."
With DeMatha alumni running back Marcus Coker currently making a home at Iowa, some have assumed that this may turn out as a positive for the Hawkeyes.
"Not at all," said Cooper. "It doesn't matter."
After his visit to Iowa next weekend, Cooper is still planning on waiting until National Signing Day to make a final decision.
