Four-star DT commits to Oregon

Oregon had another big victory on the field this weekend with a 48-29 victory against Arizona and that had to help the Ducks land another big-time commitment.
Council Bluffs (Iowa) Iowa Western C.C. defensive tackle Jared Ebert made his pledge to Oregon Saturday morning, according to his father, Jim.

Rivals.com rates Ebert, a 6-foot-5, 285-pound four-star prospect, as the No. 10 prospect in the junior college top 50 of 2011. A visit to Oklahoma State is scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 10 and Ebert had also talked about visiting Penn State but it's unknown whether Ebert will make either trip.
Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Penn State, TCU, Washington State, West Virginia, Western Kentucky, Western Michigan, South Dakota State and many others were involved in Ebert's recruitment.
Oregon, Oklahoma State and Penn State were considered the three serious contenders as Ebert evaluated his status in recent weeks.
Ebert is expected to graduate from Iowa Western in time to enroll at Oregon so he can participate in spring practice.
"He went out there and saw the school and the facilities and just fell in love with it," Jim Ebert said. "He decided to commit."
