Four-star DT back at USC

Jacob Daniel was at USC on Saturday for its spring game and back again Monday with his mother to check out the campus once again.
It is another big step for the Fresno (Calif.) Clovis North four-star defensive tackle - and it's clear the Trojans are one of the favorites as his recruitment continues.

"They just showed us around," Daniel said. "I had already seen everything but it was important for me to have my mom there. We got to talk to (Pat) Haden, she got to talk with coach (Steve) Sarkisian. It was a really good experience.
"It was for her to get a feel for it and to kind of sign off on it as well. I'm getting closer to a decision so it was for her to say, 'Yeah, it was cool, I like it a lot there.' That would make me feel a lot better if I chose to go there."
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound standout lives in Central California but plenty of his family lives in the Carson area so playing at USC would be something of a homecoming.
That seems like a consideration for Daniel, rated as the ninth-best defensive tackle and the No. 83 prospect in the 2015 class by Rivals.com.
"It's home down there," Daniel said. "All my family is down there so that's another big thing to think about."
The USC coaching staff is not pushing for an early commitment but has made it clear to Daniel that they want him in this class. The four-star said he is completely unsure of when he's going to make his commitment.
"They're just letting me do my thing," Daniel said. "They hadn't seen me in a while so it was good. They were all fired up when they saw me."
The Fresno Clovis North recruit plans to visit Oregon in a few weeks for its spring game. Texas A&M, LSU, Stanford and Notre Dame are some other schools considered as favorites.
