Vince Redd continues to keep his
recruitment close to the vest coming out of his fourth official visit.
"South Carolina was nice," he said. "The highlight was
getting to meet Lou Holtz and spend a lot of time talking to him. I really liked
his personality and all the other coaches, too. The players were cool. My host
was Rod Wilson. I felt like I'd fit in pretty well. We had a good time."
Enough to elevate the Gamecocks on his final list?
"I don't know," he said. "Everything's still pretty open
as far as that goes."
Redd (6-7, 240, 4.8), a member of the Rivals.com
Southeast Top 100 team and the
No. 12 strongside defensive end in the nation, has also visited Arkansas,
Virginia and Virginia Tech. He's scheduled to make his final stop at Tennessee
on Jan. 31.
