Four-star DE unfazed by Durkin departure

Recruiting is fluid year-round but it's especially hectic down the stretch with official visits, in-home meetings and coaching changes taking place simultaneously.
Carlo Kemp accelerated the process with intentions to enroll early and committed to Michigan shortly after his own season ended last month.

Yet the program isn't the same one he pledged to given that defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin, one of his primary recruiters with the Wolverines, recently left for Maryland.
Still, the four-star defensive end from Boulder (Colo.) Fairview told Rivals.com he is unaffected by the coaching change and is happily sticking with his choice.

IN HIS WORDS: "I'm a Michigan man, through and through," Kemp said. "Hate to see (coach Durkin) go, but that's part of the business. I'm super happy for coach Durkin, though."
WHAT'S NEXT?: Kemp said he had his in-home visit with the Wolverines on Friday and he wasn't sure if any other coaches intended to drop by before the upcoming dead period. Regardless, it would probably be wasted effort. He committed to Michigan over Notre Dame.
