And then there were two.
Remaining visits, that is.

Four-star Reserve (La.) defensive end
Vegas Franklin has his first three official visits in place,
and is now listing a favorite for the first time in his recruitment.
"I've got visits set for three weeks in a row in
January," said Franklin, a member of the Rivals.com
Southeast
Top 100 team and the No. 10 weakside defensive end in the
nation. "I'll be at Florida State on Jan. 10, Tennessee on Jan. 17 and Miami
on Jan. 24.
"I haven't really got the other ones narrowed down,
but I think I'll definitely take five. Maybe Oklahoma and LSU for the other
two."
Franklin (6-3, 220, 4.6) said the Hurricanes,
seeking to repeat as national champions, are currently at the top of his
list.
"Miami has a slight lead," he said. "The other two
are pretty close, but with Miami, me and the coaches have really developed a
good relationship. Coach (Curtis) Johnson calls me every week just to let me
know how important I am to them. I really like him a lot. He's got a good
personality I can easily relate to."
Franklin's East St. John team was ousted from the
Louisiana playoffs last week. He said he wasn't sure about what kind of
statistics he finished the season with, but he was named as a first-team
all-district performer. As a junior, he had 14 1/2 sacks.
