Four-star DE nearing decision

The recruiting process appears to be winding down for four-star defensive end Jack Lippert. The talented prospect from Harrisburg (Penn.) Central Dauphin just returned home from an unofficial visit and he may go public with a decision soon.
The 6-foot-3, 243-pound lineman holds offers from Boston College, Pitt and Temple. Lippert took an unofficial visit to Pitt today and came away impressed.

"I just went (to Pitt) for a visit," Lippert reported as he was on his way back home. "It was a good visit. We saw the whole academic side of things.
"We saw the campus, which I actually thought was really beautiful. I sort of expected it would be more of a city setting but it was nice. I talked to Coach Wannstedt and the defensive line coach. That was good as always."
Lippert also said he might be ready to announce a decision soon, and that could bode well for Pitt.
"I had thoughts of (committing)," he said. "I think it'll happen pretty soon. It will probably either be Pitt or Penn State. I've been talking to the Penn State coaches but I'd say I'm leaning towards Pitt."
Lippert is rated the No. 6 weakside defensive end in the nation.
