Four-star DE makes his choice

North Dakota State College of Science defensive lineman Bobby Jones took two official visits in November as he prepared to make his college choice. Following those two visits came a lot of talking with coaches at both schools, his coaches at NDSCS and his parents. The four-star rated defensive end made two phone calls this morning, leaving just one school happy with the news.
Bobby has chosen to go to Michigan State,” NDSCS assistant coach Mike Shafer said. “He just felt like it was the best place for him to go. He called them this morning and told them he was committing to them. He also called Kansas State to let them know the news.”

Jones also considered Wisconsin and Oregon heavily, eventually setting on the Spartans and the Wildcats as his final two schools.
“Bobby told me that he really enjoyed his visits to both schools,” Shafer said. “The coaches at both schools treated him really well through the whole process and it was a very difficult decision for him to make.”
Jones will graduate from NDSCS in December and will sign with the Spartans on Dec. 15.
