Four-star DB takes visit, claims top five

Four-star safety David Amerson out of Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley took one unofficial visit recently. The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder has plans to take more soon and claims a top five now.
"The last visit I took was to North Carolina last Tuesday," he said. "I was impressed by it. I liked it a lot. I talked to some of the coaches and watched film, toured the campus and checked out the football buildings.

"The whole thing impressed me. I got to meet all the coaches including Coach Davis. It was real good talking to him. I got a good feel for him and his plan for Carolina. I think they slid up into my top five."
What are Amerson's plans from here?
"I think my mom and I are trying to get together on a trip to Notre Dame. Whenever my mom's schedule opens I'll take the visit, it could be an official," he said. "I'm also looking at a visit to NC State this Sunday."
Amerson maintains that he's got a top five.
"I can say my top five are NC State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Notre Dame and North Carolina," he said. "For now they are my top five, but I could change my mind.
"My plan was to decide before the season, but right now I'll probably need to wait for official visits."
Does any one team lead from the group?
"I know NC State sticks out a lot," he said. "I've been there a lot and every time I visit I like it."
