Four-star CB visits Kent State

Four-star cornerback Josh Pleasant joined teammates Dayon Arrington and Corbin Williamson on an official visit to Kent State over the weekend. The 5-foot-9, 182-pounder enjoyed his time in Ohio. Was it enough for him to claim a leader?
"It was a pretty good visit," he said. "I got there on Friday and when I arrived I had dinner that night and then went out with my host, Dan Hartman.

"It was fun with him, he showed me a real good time. He showed me what life is like on campus, it was live. The one thing he told me on the visit was that when I got there I wouldn't expect a lot, but when I'm done with the visit I'll like it way more than I expected. I've got to say I was impressed.
"I got to tour the school, athletic facilities, meet the coaches, watch film and find out what I'd be doing if I went there."
While on the visit, Pleasant met with head coach Doug Martin too.
"I actually met with him a couple times," he said. "We had a meeting on Sunday morning and the thing that stood out was that he really wanted me there. They were the first school to offer me this year and I'm their top cornerback that they wanted midyear. That got to me a bit."
Where does the visit put Kent for the prep star?
"As of right now before I take other visits, they are on top," he said. "I am thinking about a visit to James Madison this weekend.
"I recently have gotten interest from Hawaii. I'd like to take a visit out there and then Akron may get a visit."
Pleasant will need to hustle on visits as he plans to enroll next month.
