Four-star CB schedules first official

Rivals250 cornerback Marcus Udell out of Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby has scheduled his first official visit of the season. Who has the 5-foot-11, 178-pounder decided on and why?
"I know I've already scheduled an official to Maryland on December 16th," he said. "What stands out about them is that they were the first school to offer and give me a chance. I feel I owe them the chance through a visit and that's why I'm taking a visit there."

Currently, LSU, Iowa, Alabama and Florida are showing the most interest, but Udell confirms he doesn't know who else will get an official or who is in his top five.
"I plan to take all five of my visits after the season. Right now, I'm pretty wide open," he said. "I'm going to sit down and look at the schools to see who seriously needs defensive backs. I want to find a program I fit into really well."
This season the four-star prospect has helped Godby to an 8-2 record as he's hauled in seven interceptions.
"I'm just playing and having a good season," he said. "I've also got 46 tackles and 17 pass breakups. I recently moved to wide receiver too and in the first game doing that, I caught four receptions for 111 yards.
"This year I'm looking for a state championship to complete my season. I also want to break the high school record for interceptions. I can tell I really improved this year as I'm much more patient and reading plays better. I'm also trying to be more of a leader out there for my team to help us finish strong."
Udell has already been selected for the California-Florida game and is still a nominee for the Army All-American game.
