Garland (Texas) North Garland star cornerback Edorian McCullough has been so focused on practice and his team's first game that he really hasn't paid much attention to the phone this past weekend.
"It's been ringing, but I forgot that coaches can call again," McCullough said. "I didn't realize it until I picked it up and there was a coach from Alabama on the other end. I've been working too hard with practice and school work."
McCullough, who is 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, said he believes he missed calls from Texas, A&M, Miami and Oklahoma.
"I'm not ignoring anybody," he said with a laugh. "We just have been practicing so hard, and then I came home on Saturday and fell asleep and didn't get up until late."
But the nation's No. 6 cornerback still feels confident about his top group of schools. He lists A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan and Miami as his top teams.
"Those are the top guns," he said. "I know what they're all about and where I stand in their eyes."
Now if he can just get them on the phone.
