Four-star Cager to Miami

SAN ANTONIO - One of the more anticipated announcements at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl was that of Maryland four-star Lawrence Cager, who made his pick for Miami.

Cager announced his commitment during the telecast of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and picked Miami over his other finalists -- Alabama, Georgia, Virginia Tech and Ole Miss.
The list of finalists Cager had coming into Army Bowl week left plenty of questions. Two schools he officially visited -- Ohio State and Wake Forest -- were not on the list, and only Virginia Tech hosted him for an official visit among his top five.
The pick of Miami is a surprise because Cager has not visited Coral Gables since before the start of his junior year. He still has two official visit spots remaining and is considering making those trips. He listed Alabama, Georgia and Miami as possible destinations for January official visits.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Cager is the No. 36 wide receiver prospect in the 2015 class and the No. 5 player in the state of Maryland.
