Bryan Addison said just a couple weeks ago that he was planning to make his commitment after taking his Washington visit.
The trip to Seattle happened this past weekend. But the four-star athlete from Gardena (Calif.) Serra seems to be pumping the brakes on a decision.
The reason is because UCLA fired coach Jim Mora after the Bruins lost to USC on Saturday night and UCLA is one of Addison’s favorites.
Until the Bruins figure out their new coaching situation, Addison does not want to rush a pledge.
“I want to see who they are going to replace coach Mora with,” Addison said.
The four-star who could play safety or wide receiver in college has named a top five of UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan and Nebraska.
Washington was not in his top group but Addison decided to take a visit this past weekend for its thrilling, last-second victory over Utah.
The Huskies had not been a frontrunner for Addison, but after this weekend trip it sure sounds like Washington is going to play a significant role in his thinking.
The trip was definitely worthwhile.
“They really had the best setting in college football and the coaching staff was great,” Addison said.
“Just where they placed the stadium and how beautiful the city of Seattle is (stood out most).”
