Four-star Boyd narrows list

In the wake of a season ending loss in the playoffs to Louisville (Ky.) Trinity, four-star wide receiver Aaron Boyd out of Lexington (Ky.) Henry Clay has narrowed his list of schools to six. The highly-touted wide receiver had an extremely productive senior season on the gridiron and now will place his focus on the recruiting season ahead.
Boyd lists his final six schools as Florida, Miami, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU and Virginia. While he hasn't been on campus to all of his six he does have a good relationship with all six.

"Those are the schools that are recruiting me the hardest," Boyd said. "I've visited some of the schools and I plan on visiting more coming up. I'm taking my official visit to Kentucky in two weeks and then I'll schedule more."
Boyd holds offers from four of the six schools on the list but expects the remaining two schools to come with written offers this winter.
"LSU might want me to play tight end so they're still debating whether to offer me as a wide receiver," he said. "Florida doesn't like to offer players until they see them in person. Most kids are offered on their official visits so I'm expecting them to offer me when I take my visit there."
Boyd weighed in on his top six choices.
Florida: "They're pretty much a spread offense and that's a good thing for wide receivers. They've got a lot of production from the wide receiver position. I think and they think that I'd be a good fit."
Miami: "The tradition really sticks out and the players that they send to the NFL Draft."
Kentucky: "It's my hometown school. They are really coming up on the horizon and starting win games now. They've got a good passing system and two receivers that will be going into the draft this year. Things are really going well there."
Louisville: "They've got a high powered offense and they've had a lot of success these past years. Coach Kragthorpe is a great man and a great coach."
LSU: "It's a good SEC team. They get a lot of production from the wide receiver position. It's another big option for a kid from Kentucky."
Virginia: "I see them as more than just football, but also great academics. It's a place where you can be somebody more than just play on the football field. It's a good opportunity."
