THE LATEST: Amari Daniels is just a junior in high school, but his name has been on the recruiting radar for years. The Miami Central High School running back started accumulating major offers as a freshman and has seen his recruitment ebb and flow from there. Below, the four-star prospect names a favorite and discusses a timetable for a commitment.

ON THE LAST VISIT HE TOOK:

"I just came back from Texas A&M a few weeks ago. That was the last one I took."

ON HIS TRIP TO A&M:

"It was good. They were just showing me and telling me how the system was down there. I liked what I heard. It was good. It’s not the same as it was."

ON IF TEXAS A&M IS HIS CURRENT LEADER:

"Yes. After this visit for sure."

ON WHAT SETS A&M APART:

"I just like how Jimbo Fisher runs that team. I feel like it looks like a fit for me, Then, growing up, I was a Florida State fan because of him. He has recruited my high school for a long time and done well. We’ve had a great relationship for a long time."

ON OTHER TEAMS THAT ARE HEAVILY IN THE MIX:

"Ohio State is in for sure. They are in it. I like Ohio State.

ON OHIO STATE:

"I visited once and loved it. I still want more details, but I’m definitely interested. I’ve only visited up there one time, but I’m trying to take another visit up there soon."

ON HIS VISIT TO COLUMBUS:

"I remember I really like how the coaches interacted with the players. I liked the approach they take. They seem to really care. It’s like a big family up there."

ON HIS APPROACH TO HIS RECRUITMENT:

"I’ve been getting recruited a long time already, so I know what to look for. Coaches change and systems change. You have to be aware of that. Every school has something better to offer. So, right now, I guess I’m just trying to figure out who really has the most to offer."

ON A DECISION TIMETABLE:

"Sometime during the season. It’ll be over before we go to state."
