Four-star 2017 RB visits LSU

LSU pulled a four-star prospect out of Cincinnati in the 2015 class, and they hosted a Queen City four-star from the 2017 class this past weekend.
Running back Jarell White has worked out with incoming LSU freshman George Brown's father for more than a year. That close connection and the positive feedback he has heard from Brown about the Tigers drew White down to Baton Rouge.

"I just got back from LSU this weekend," White said. "I actually visited and camped, so I did both in the weekend."
White worked with LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson at the Tiger's camp this past weekend, and was encouraged by the feedback.
"I talked with some coaches and they might be offering soon," White said. "They looked at my camp film and are going to come down and visit me sometime soon for a Friday night."
College camps are finished this summer for White, but he is looking at taking more unofficial visits before his junior season begins.
"I am probably going to go to Purdue in a couple weeks," White said. "I talked to Coach Taver (Johnson), the defensive coach, and he really likes me. He is waiting to see my defensive film this year because I am playing outside linebacker."
White holds five scholarship offers, including ones from Cincinnati and Illinois. He plans to continue his visits of college campuses this fall.
"I might be going down to UK and Louisville," White said. "They wanted me to come down and camp, but I don't really have the time so I am going to make it down for games. I'm not sure if I am going to other schools right now."
As a sophomore the 5-foot-10, 200-pound White accumulated 1,800 all-purpose yards and scored 32 touchdowns for a Cincinnati LaSalle team that took home the Ohio Division I state title in 2014. Amazingly he posted those numbers despite sharing the running back load with class of 2016 three-star Jeremy Larkin, who rushed for over 2,500 yards last fall.
