Four stand out to TE McNeil

Josh McNeil is one of the most coveted prospects from North Carolina and he's making progress towards a decision.
Four schools are standing out to the 6-foot-5, 235-pound tight end from Durham (N.C.) Hillside.

That doesn't mean he has narrowed things down to four for good.
"This Friday I'm going to release my top six," McNeil said this weekend. "I don't have it quite yet but I do know that Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Miami are going to be on it. I'm not sure about the other two. It's a bunch of schools I'm still looking at."
Each of those four schools has made a strong case thus far.
"I like Alabama just because me and Coach (Nick) Saban have a close relationship," he said. "I like the way he does things at Alabama. He's all about winning.
"I like the same things about Florida. You know they'll be competing for the national championship.
"Georgia puts a lot of tight ends in the NFL and I like the way they use their tight ends. I pretty much like the same things about Miami."
So at this point it seems to be a battle between two of the nation's top programs over the past few seasons and two programs that have produced a lot of tight end talent over the years.
McNeil is ranked the No. 13 tight end in the nation.
