Four stand out to LeCounte

BRADENTON, Fla. -- Richard LeCounte is into semantics. And that's fine. Most football recruiting stories are based in them. On one hand, the four-star defensive back insists he has no top four in place.
On the other hand, he doesn't mind rattling off a list of four schools that are "standing out." The pecking order is subject to change and new options will likely emerge, but at this early juncture, certain programs have LeCounte's attention.

"Really it's the same ol' schools," LeCounte said. "It's Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, and Auburn. I've really been getting in contact with Auburn a lot lately."
A class-of-2017 prospect, LeCounte plans to visit Ohio State at a to-be-determined date this offseason. He'll also likely hit the campus of Georgia for the school's Dog Night event in July.
Other than that, though, LeCounte, who attends Georgia's Liberty County High School, is taking a leisurely pace when it comes to his recruitment.
"I've really been slowing down a bit lately," he said. "I don't have a lot of plans or anything like that."
In fitting with the larger theme of his recruitment, LeCounte does not intend to make an announcement any time in the current calendar year. Instead, the cornerback will bide his time.
"I'll probably wait until I'm a senior," he said. "I want to enjoy the process as much as I can and really just figure it out"
