Will Harrod will be one of the most heavily recruited offensive linemen in the Mid-Atlantic in the 2019 recruiting class. The Fort Washington (Md.) National Christian Academy standout already has an impressive offer sheet but four schools caught his eye when they offered.

IN HIS OWN WORDS...

"Michigan, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, and Maryland wowed me when I got those offers," Harrod said. "I know Michigan has a great program. I know they have a rivalry against Ohio State and the offensive line coach is very good. He does a good job of working with his linemen on technique and strength. The coaches tell me not to get big eyes, to stay humble, and keep working because as fast they give an offer they can take it away too. Coach Drevno told me a bit about Michigan and I thought it was really good. The education there and the sports program can really help me in both areas.

"I really like Virginia Tech," he said. "I’ve been watching them for a while now. I went up there to watch them play Duke. I really liked how they welcomed me and I liked the atmosphere. I talked to some of the fans when I walked down onto the field and they all said they want me to come there. I really liked how I could interact with the fans like that. I liked how the buildings are set up there too. I met coach Wiggins and he was very welcoming.

"I know Rutgers is in the Big Ten and they had a good offensive line coach," said Harrod. "I talked to a couple coaches and the head coach too. They really want me to come up there and check them out. I might go there for one of their junior days.

"I was really excited when Maryland offered," he said. "It’s great to get that hometown look. I was really excited to go down there. I know Tino Ellis, Lorenzo Harrison, and all those guys. I was talking to Tyler Bowen before he left and I am talking to coach Aazaar. I know him well. I like how the campus is really big and I know they have a great education program there. Everybody was very welcoming there and made sure I was taken care off.

"I’m looking for offers from Ohio State and Ole Miss," Harrod said. "I’ve been watching those schools for a while now. I know Ohio State is a great program and I met Larry Johnson recently. He could be a great coach. I can put my trust in him. I’ve been watching Ole Miss on TV. I know they’re in the SEC and I like how they run things on the field."

RIVALS' REACTION...

Harrod has a very bright future on the field and is leading the way for a very talented National Christian Academy program. He could end up being a guard or tackle in college and has the potential to be a standout a either position. Harrod's good feet and run blocking abilities are impressive. As a pass blocker Harrod has handled pretty much every defensive end that has come his way so far. It will be good to see how he does on the camp circuit this offseason.
